Visit of Metropolitan JOHN (November 2008)

On 29th November 2009, the parish was honoured to receive our new Archbishop, Metropolitan JOHN, who spent a few days as the guest of Fr. Philip.

It was a wonderful privilege for us all to gather with our new Archbishop around the Lord's table and receive Holy Communion together with our Saviour. This is the first of many future visits of His Eminence to his parish in Lincoln. We look forward to his prayerful, loving, support and guidance.

Metropolitan JOHN really enjoyed meeting us all and was delighted to see what had been achieved by our community. Through Fr. Philip he expressed his thanks for the hospitality which was shown to him and his assistants, Archimandrite Damaskinos and Archimandrite Athenasios, and presented the parish with a beautiful icon.
